About us
Like lichen: solid, resilient, built to last.
LikenTech is a software company with offices in the Netherlands and Turkey. We work for businesses across Europe and Turkey.
Our story
We took our name from the hardiest living thing
Lichen is not a flower. It is a partnership between a fungus and an alga that lets them live where neither could survive alone. The fungus provides shelter and water; the alga turns light into food. Together they endure everywhere, from the poles to deserts, from bare rock to the outside of the space station.
That is where our name comes from. We too are a partnership of two different crafts: database and accounting integration on one side, software engineering on the other. Work that would stay half-finished alone becomes a solid system together.
Lichen grows slowly, but once it takes hold it stays for centuries; storms, cold and drought cannot tear it off. We build software the same way: not flashy and fragile, but simple, durable and long-lived. As your team grows, the system grows with it.
